ANALISIS KOMPARATIF KINERJA PT. BANK MANDIRI (PERSERO) TBK CABANG MANADO TOAR DAN CABANG MANADO SAM RATULANGI DENGAN PENDEKATAN BALANCED SCORECARD

Abstract

Any banking institution is required to improve its performance to be able to survive in the middle of business competition that becomes more and more competitive. PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk as one of the banking institutions in Indonesia is trying to improve its performance through company’s vision and mision shown in its distribution network, such as through its branches. The branches have become places to implement company strategy because branches are work units that have direct interaction with costomers. Furthermore, contributions delivered by each branch influence whole company performance.

The objective of this research is to find out and analyze performance differences in the perspective of financial, customer, internal business process, and learning and growth of PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, branch of Manado Toar and Manado Sam Ratulangi, using Balanced Scorecard approach.

Sampling method is undergone in purposive sampling or research sample is intentionally selected. Data being used are ratio and interval data, while source of data are primary and secondary data. Data analysis method uses Oneway Analysis of Variance (Oneway ANOVA) method.

Analysis result and hypotheses examination show that the performance of PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk branch of Manado Toar and Manado Sam Ratulangi based on financial perspective has significant level of 0,461, significant level based on customer perspective is 0,886, significant level based on internal business process is 0,807, and significant level based on learning and growth is 0,152. It means that all hypotheses are rejected or these is no performance difference between PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk branch of Manado Toar and branch of Manado Sam Ratulangi, viewed from financial, customer, internal business process, and learning and growth perspective.
